The Knowsley Business Awards were a real showcase of the very best businesses and charities and we were delighted that Danny Nolan, one of our final year apprentices was a finalist in the Apprentice / Employee of the Year category.
Danny (pictured here with his girlfriend Lili) has become a fantastic asset to the company over the past few years, with his meticulous attention to detail, his desire to learn and his ability to problem solve. Being an apprentice during a pandemic has not been without challenges, but Danny has overcome all of these and more, achieving double distinctions in his college work and is currently in the second year of his HNC. Danny is a brilliant role model to our other apprentices and we know that he has a very bright future ahead.
We are a proud Knowsley business, and believe passionately about our place in the community and the responsibilities we have towards the community that we serve here. Our “Engineering your Future” day, was a brilliant example of how we are better together, with a number of local businesses giving up their time for the day to support the event, from which local schools were able to bring students along to have important careers conversations.
As a company trading internationally we bring customers and suppliers from all over the world to our premises in Knowsley and are keen to spread the word on what a fantastic place it is to do business in. On winning the award Managing Director, Rachael Baker said "Thank you to all the judges for this award, recognising all that we have achieved over the past 3 years. Despite all the challenges, we have grown as a business, investing heavily in staff welfare, training and product innovation. As we look forward to our centenary next year, this is a great moment to look back and appreciate all that we have achieved together as a team."
Congratulations to all the other winners on the night, and thank you to Knowsley Council and Chamber of Commerce for all their support of us (and for hosting such an amazing evening!)
