Pauline Griffiths has been with JJ Smith since 1990, making her a beloved and integral part of the team for over 30 years. As the receptionist and engineering administrator, Pauline embodies the values that make JJ Smith a welcoming and supportive workplace. Her tireless dedication, positive attitude, and empathetic nature have touched both colleagues and clients alike.
One of Pauline’s essential roles includes ensuring engineers have suitable accommodation when working away from home. Her ability to secure comfortable arrangements, even at short notice, allows the engineers to focus on their tasks with peace of mind. Pauline’s contributions go beyond logistics; her nurturing spirit has become the cornerstone of JJ Smith’s collaborative culture.
Joel Clarke – Apprentice of the Year
Joel Clarke, an Advanced Engineering apprentice who joined JJ Smith in 2020, has been shortlisted for Apprentice of the Year. Joel’s dedication, technical expertise, and positivity have set him apart as an outstanding young professional. Throughout his apprenticeship, Joel has consistently demonstrated a high level of proficiency, maturity, and a proactive work ethic that belies his years.
Mentors and colleagues alike commend Joel for his contributions and exemplary behaviour, which have made him a role model for fellow apprentices. His commitment to learning and professional growth showcases the promising future that lies ahead for this young talent.
