Held at JJ Smith's Knowsley workshop, the event served as a hands-on learning opportunity designed to bridge the gap between classroom education and real-world industry practice.

Students were invited to program the state-of-the-art Stromab CT600 Automatic Crosscut Saw to cut timber into necessary lengths for the construction of outdoor planters, providing practical experience and exposure to industry expectations. The day also included guided demonstrations from JJ Smith’s skilled engineers, who shared their expertise and insights, offering invaluable mentorship to the students.
