Comec MD TOP XL CNC Working Centre At HSG Packaging

The MD TOP has a maximum working length capacity of 3300mm in a single field or 1500mm + 1500mm in twin working fields, giving the facility of tandem loading of the same or different size parts, thus maximising productivity whilst still giving a high degree of flexibility. Working units consist of a C axis for a saw blade that can make straight or angled cuts, a horizontal electro spindle for slotting or grooving and a vertical electro spindle for milling and shaping. Additionally there is a CNC drilling group that can work all sides / ends of the component. Programming is quick and simple, as is the machine set up. The working tables, 8 in total, are each fitted with adjustable pneumatic work piece clamps that easily move on the X axis to suit different length pieces. On request the working tables can be automatically positioned through the CNC and vacuum pads can be specified instead of clamps. The latest optional is an 8 position automatic rotary tool changer. The MD TOP range has working lengths of 2500mm, 3300mm and 4500mm. On request special machine configurations and working sizes can be specified. Other applications the MD Top can be used for is the production of parts for garden furniture, garden buildings, sofa frame parts and bed bases to name just a few.
